Counter is local-first, which is the part that matters when the internet goes. Every sale is written to the device first and syncs afterwards, so the shop keeps selling through an outage and the records catch up when the connection returns. Most point of sale software stops dead at exactly that moment.

Setting up is usually where a shop gives up, so the price list you already keep in a spreadsheet or a WhatsApp message can be pasted straight in: map the columns, check every row, and one button puts it back if it came out wrong. That is free on every plan, including the trial.
